A while ago, I started a flickr group for highresolutiontextures.com, where the readers can post their own texture images. The group already has 58 members and a few of those member submitted some great texture photos. From time to time, I want to showcase the best submissions of this group and this post is the start of that series.
After his first contribution, my friend Martin hooked me up with another great texture pack. This time it is a nice collection of slate textures, which contains 11 high resolution images. A big thank you goes out to Martin for these beautiful photos! Make sure to visit his photoblog, where he showcases some brilliant pictures (other than textures).
Here is number 3 in the series of stone texture packs. This collection contains 10 high quality shots with a resolution of 3888 x 2592 pixels. A zip file with all pictures can be found at the end of this post.

This is a free texture pack with images from markers for hiking trails, which we came across in the Austrian alps. All pictures were taken by my lovely girlfriend Antje, who saw the first marker and immediately wanted to make a whole series of pictures. And I am glad she did, because that material is perfectly suited for this blog. So here they are, 6 great photos of stone, rocks and bark with the Austrian flag painted on. Although I am still on vacation, I did not want to abandon this blog completely, so I prepared this little post in advance. This way, you don’t have to wait too long for new high resolution textures. So here is the second edition of free stone texture packs. Again, I tried to include a diverse selection of stones in this collection, which contains 7 hi-res images.
