Here is a nice and colorful collection of hi-res spray paint textures on different metal surfaces. I found these on several garage doors on my way home from my first skateboarding photography session, when I had take a detour with my bike. This proves that it can be very beneficial from time to time if you go off the beaten track and as a consequence discover something new. Let me know, what you think of these images.
Shortly after I started this blog, I was approached by Caleb, who informed me that he was doing a similar thing over at lostandtaken.com. And indeed, he also offers high resolution textures and gives them away for free. We decided to join forces instead of trying to compete against each other and as a consequence he send me over a nice little texture pack, which contains 7 high-res images of rust. Earlier this week, I was texture hunting and I was lucky to find a few containers, which contained decaying industrial machines. I spent approx. 15 minutes shooting as much pictures from every possible angle, because normally it is very hard to find good rust textures in my area. You can see the results of that session below – a colorful collection of 9 rust textures. Let me know, what you think of those.
Last saturday, I bought a new lens for my camera (Canon EF 50mm 1:1.8 II) and I immediately had to try it out. So I went to an old industrial area nearby, where some of the properties are already abandoned. This was the perfect spot to get some shots of rusty metal, cracked paint and broken glass.
I am more than happy with the results of this session and as a consequence, I created a divers collection of 12 high resolution textures and offer them in one pack for your downloading convenience. Enjoy!
