Another texture pack containing images from my recent visit to France. This time it is a diverse collection with 5 high quality images of stones and rocks. On a side note, I will remove the upload functionality from the website, because it was barely used and most of the images only had a limited resolution. It was worth a try, but it is apparent that this little experiment did not work out they way I had hoped.
Coming back from a nice vacation in the beautiful Ardeche region in France, I present you some nice grungy textures of cracked paint. There were lots of old villages in that area, so it was a perfect spot for shooting pictures of old stones, rocks and in this case wheathered wood. I hope you find those useful!
A while ago, I presented to you a few newcomer websites that are also focussing on hi-res textures. In the meantime, I was approached by Justin, who recently set up a great site called LoveTextures and with this feature post I would like to welcome this friendly new member to the texture community.
My dear friend Martin, a regular contributor to this blog, recently went on vacation to Fuerteventura, one of the Canary islands. This island has emerged from volcanic activities and there is an abundance of nice rock formations, which are perfectly suited for shooting textures. This is exactly what he did and he gave me a few of his best shots in order to share them with you guys. So here is a nice collection of various exotic stone and wood textures from Fuerteventura.
You might ask yourself, what kind of a stupid title is that – grunge in combination with pancakes? The idea for these textures just popped up, when I was standing in the kitchen and making…you guessed it: pancakes. I just looked at the first one I made and thought that the color and structure resembles some rust textures that you see floating around the web, so I quickly grabbed my camera and made a few shots. Crazy idea, but the results look pretty interesting in my opinion.
